For the 1st time in what seems an age, the weather played ball and we went along.  As usual for Lauder, the wind was blowin' a hoolie but it don't deter a hug crowd from attending.  

The cars on show were impressive and there was some absolutely stunning examples in display.  It was a great way to spend a few hours.  We dropped into see some friends before leaving Lauder and heading back to Peebles via the Thornylee road.  

So here are some pics from the day.  

For many, the highlight of the Festival is The Enduro World Series Race.  Held over 2 days, some 600+ riders tackle downhill stages based around the Tweed Valley.  Day 1 was in Innerleithen (Inners) and Day 2 was in Glentress.  Day 1 was raced off in glorious sunshine but Day 2 was supposed to be a different scenario!  The weather forecast indicated rain & very high winds.  The organisers decided early on Sunday morning to shorten Day 2 to just 2 stages.  Needless to say, the predicted weather didn't hit but its better to put the safety of the riders, the spectators and volunteers first!  

The racing was excellent with some fantastic talent on show and the huge crowd that built up during the day were certainly entertained.  

Roll on Tweedlove 2016.  I just wonder what the organisers have up their sleeves...  

Interesting is the best way to describe it.  The venue was far too small & the layout was less than ideal.  There was no space to take the groups and photograph them so there was a helluva a lot of PP required on the final images.  

Anyway, job's done and the pics went into the local paper.

Last night was the 1st running of LoveCross!  This is a kind of 'urban' cyclocross race where the riders start with a Le Mans style foot race to their bikes and then it's a jump over hay bails before mounting their bikes and speeding off up Peebles High Street.  Other obstacles are in the way too.  Include a healthy flight of stairs and pretty soon riders are blowing out their @rse!!  

Anyway, it was all good fun and the weather managed to behave itself.  Rab Wardell was the eventual winner of the final after winning one of the 2 heats.  

A great photographic opportunity too.  The next event I'll be covering is the Peebles Netball Awards so if I remember, I'll post a blog entry about that too.  So, for now, enjoy the slideshow of the pics from LoveCross.

Family or individual sessions start at £50.  You get an hour in front of the camera and I'll get as many 'keepers' for you as I can.  You can then choose your favourite to be printed.  The complete set will be available on the website should you want to buy any more prints.

I will try to post updates to this Blog but don't hold your breath.  It's not something I've done before and I can't really see myself starting.
